Description
"The Tale of Yectinu", was intended to be a story and it's a track which took too many revisions, both of the lyrics and of the music itself. So, the final product you hear is actually quite far from the original version I had in mind, particularly the ending… Anyway, this is the version I’ve chosen to share. |
Lyrics[]
The wanderer, she was en route
To steal the sacred fruit
Strong arms, sharp mind, keen sight
Stood still, ready for her fight
Deep in the mighty cave
A beast waits in its place
Strong tail, sharp claws, keen bite
Statute ready for a fight
In the chamber, enshrined
Fruit of power in sight!
Listen to the tale of Yectinu
Danger lurked, yet she continued
She had come to taste the sacred fruit
It was guarded by a savage brute
Energies began to rise
Auras intensified
Two fought instinctively
She had to match its speed
It roared, fire enlarged
Her hands, lightning discharged
Both met critically
She was taking the lead
In the shadows, more beasts
They silently gathered
Listen to the fall of Yectinu
With her might, she had killed the brute
She was unable to make a move
All around her were the other brutes
"I'm surrounded now"
"There's too many beasts"
"I won't make it out"
Fear began to grip her
"I am trapped"
"Should I give up?"
"Will I die"
Losing hope she visioned
"Bite by bite they will maim me"
"Limb by limb they will tear me"
She wished for a saviour
"I pray for someone to save me"
Listen to the tale of Yectinu
She had come for the sacred fruit
Yet she ended up in tragedy
Is this the end of her story?
Listen to the tale of Yectinu
As she lost hope the roof fell through
A blinding light, the brutes withdrew
She lives to fight another day
She lives to fight another day
